Kylie Surmeier is a Provisional Licensed Mental Health Practitioner (PLMHP) from Kearney. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Family Studies and Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health, both from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. She completed an undergraduate internship for Community Action Partnership of Mid-Nebraska where she developed a passion for working with a variety of cultures and families in need. Kylie completed her graduate internship at Kearney Clinic where she gained a love of working with children and their families to resolve behavior issues such as aggression, noncompliance, tantrums, and academic difficulties to encourage harmony and safety in the home. Kylie also enjoys using family systems theory, mindfulness, and a solution-focused approach to treat a variety of adult difficulties such as depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and addiction.
