Carlene works with individuals, families and couples who are covered by Employee Assistance Programs, insurance programs and Medicaid. She helps them arrive at a place where they can be at peace with themselves and each other. To aid in her experience, Carlene had several years of post-graduate, externship training in family therapy with Jamshed Morenas from Philadelphia Child Guidance Center. She is also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and has attended a number of workshops about grieving.
Carlene enjoys working at Family Resources because she loves the spirit of support and cooperation that exists between all the employees. “I love our building, which, I think, gives a message of strength and safety to all who enter it. I especially am energized by working with couples.
"I taught in an elementary school the first 14 years of my career and worked as a therapist for the Health and Human Services system for 20 years. I grew up in Kansas and spent 16 years in Missouri before coming to Nebraska. I love to sew and try new recipes."
