Employee Assistance Program
Satisfied Customers Speak for Themselves
Saint Francis Medical Center:
Saint Francis Medical Center has worked with Family Resources as our Employee Assistance provider for several years. In fact, we started EAP as part of our operations, but asked Family Resources to take over the program when we found we could no longer “deliver the goods.” This has been an excellent working relationship for us.
We’ve found our staffs to be very trusting of Family Resources, and readily use their services with little or no prompting by us. The range of services is extensive. Some of our staff members deal with high stress loads, which is common in healthcare. Others might be experiencing family or financial problems. The Employee Assistance Program addresses all of these issues, and more, with considerable stress.
We have invited Family Resources to work with a variety of problems within our organization. Here are some examples:
- They worked with a department experiencing substantial staff conflict;
- Rebuilt employee/management trust within another;
- And helped boost performance in a group struggling to maintain efficiency following severe financial constraints.
To date, they have been successful in virtually every circumstance they have encountered.
The results speak for themselves. Over the last three years, our costs for mental health as a percent of total health insurance costs have dropped from 7% to 4%. This is happening at a time when the costs of all forms of healthcare, including mental health, are skyrocketing.
We are very pleased with Family Resources and the assistance they have provided to us over the years. We are especially pleased when they agree to try new, innovative approaches to address matters that are troubling to our employees. It is unusual to see a service provider be so responsive to the needs of a customer.
I would be happy to visit with anyone desiring more information about the Employee Assistance Program.
